The Rockford Fosgate P3S 8" shallow mount subwoofer delivers Punch, even in depth limited situations. Rockford Fosgate understands all vehicles are not the same, because some cannot accommodate deep subwoofers. In the past, that meant no Bass. Not anymore! Now even depth challenged vehicles can have REAL Bass and the Dual Voice Coil allow configurations for every application. Shallow woofers are specifically designed for spaces where a traditional woofer cannot be used.

Great value, great customer service

Fantastic speaker, great sound quality, and even better customer service. 10/10 recommend.

GREAT punchy sub, but not boomy with very little sound pressure

This is a good sub that produces very tight, kickdrum bass but it crackles a bit during boomier bass. Sound pressure is also lacking due to the fact that the cone can't move as far because of the shallow mount. I started out mounting it in the spare tire jack compartment of my 2004 Toyota Tundra. Couldn't hear it at all. Then decided to gut my center console and build a custom box to fit under the console. Box is built to spec and sounds a bit better but still not satisfied. I'm using an MTX thunder 3202 amp to power it, but the amp is too much for the sub. Based on the reviews of the Massive Audio Summo84, I'll be selling my P3 and going with it. If you like your bass punchy with no sound pressure and less boomy, then this sub will work great. If you like your bass loud and boomy then the P3 will surely disappoint.
