Big Sound Podcast Profile: HiFi Vega – Robert Vega

Vega began his love of car audio from an early age. Around the age of 12 he heard is first big system in an old VW bug. The two 18-inch subwoofers not only shook the glass, but they also shook him to his core, and Vega became hooked to the heart thumping sound. After a while, Vega used his passion to write about and photograph subwoofers on Facebook. That’s when close friend, Derek from Williston Audio Labs, encouraged him to start his YouTube Channel.

Now, the HiFi Vega YouTube channel has hundreds of videos and millions of views. His catalog has something for nearly every aspect of the car audio world for enthusiasts and DIYers. From product reviews, tools, and bench testing to budget builds and instructional videos; Vega packs a ton of information into his channel. Vega has noticed the industry has come around in recent years by supplying products and services the average consumer can use at home and created more opportunity for smaller car audio companies to thrive. This has helped regular consumers get into the hobby of creating their own audio builds. Many of those people will need the help of YouTubers like HiFi Vega to see what it takes to build their own system.
