I got one of these with plans for two,... Went from my build vehicle being a midsized SUV (Honda Pilot) that was hit, and totalled while parked.
MY only other option that wouldn't affect my "FAMILY VEHICLES", was 'in case of a emergency "...
05' Civic ex SE, TWO DOOR,
I changed over to two 800rms 10"s one of my two, CT Sounds CT3200.1 (was going to strap the amps for over 6,500watts@2ohms on the two D2 ohm subs)
The Civic didn't have enough air space IMO for two of these, that's why I bought the 10"s,...
Sounded cool....
But when my buddy had a single 12" ported enclosure that would fit into my trunk, my, "what ifs" got the best of me... My 1st single sub bass stage build, never even a demo...
THIS SUBWOOFER IS A FUGGIN BEAST! According to my calculations my new current enclosure was about 2.1cu.ft tuned from 37-39hz...
I built a 2.75cu.ft enclosure tuned to 34hz.... extreme world of difference!!!
Recommended for 35hz and 2cf I wasn't too far off.
I was EXTREMELY SURPRISED AND IMPRESSED before...in a pre-fab that had port one woofer on different walls.
THE ENCLOSURE IS "MOB BOSS" in a heavy bass, complete system (givin adequate electrical)
With about 90-100cu.ft total of 82milil butyl rubber deadening, prolly 30lbs on trunk lid alone, heavy doors too... Man this woofer has my trunk lid, and both doors, NOTICABLY PANEL GAPPED ABOVE/OUT of correct positions from air tryna escape if I don't have windows at least halfway down and sunroof open.
Can't drive through auto car wash anymore because pressurized water/soap shoots past the weather stripping and into cabin, worse, ...into the trunk where my amps, headway bank, and all other audio equipment is home in,
Deaf Bonce is MY, new...forever, taking over Sundown
