The long-awaited Billet Elite Large Case Cummins alternator from Mechman is finally here. Designed specifically for early 5.9L Cummins diesel engines, this is the first true large case alternator engineered to bolt directly into the factory location without modification.
Diesel engines spend most of their operating life at idle and low RPM, and this alternator is built to dominate exactly where it matters. With nearly 200 amps of output at idle and over 370 amps at cruising RPM, this is the most powerful single alternator available for stock-location installation on a 5.9L Cummins.
Despite its massive output, Mechman engineered this alternator to use a near-stock pulley size, eliminating the need for belt changes during installation. The result is a mostly plug-and-play upgrade that installs like OEM while delivering unmatched charging performance.
This alternator is internally regulated for standard OEM voltage operation but is also pre-configured for external voltage control using the Mechman 91102RC external regulator (sold separately) for users who require higher voltage output. Whether you are powering accessories, audio systems, or heavy electrical loads, this alternator is built to perform reliably under extreme demand.
