The DS18 PROJECT360.694BN brings the PROJECT360 rotating recone system to a high-output 6x9" mid-high loudspeaker. Rated for 350 watts RMS and 700 watts MAX, this 4-ohm speaker delivers 102 dB sensitivity with a 95 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response, making it built for systems that need strong, efficient midrange and high-frequency projection. DS18 recommends a 120 Hz high-pass crossover. At the center of the PROJECT360.694BN is DS18's patent-pending rotating recone design. Instead of replacing the complete speaker when the moving assembly is damaged, the compatible PROJECT360.694BRCK recone module allows the voice coil, connecting wires, dust cap, suspension, cone, and surround to be replaced together as a pre-assembled module. The damaged assembly rotates out and the replacement module locks into the basket, helping reduce repair time compared with a traditional recone process. The speaker uses a 1.75" CCAW voice coil on a Kapton former, curvilinear paper cone, cloth surround, CNC aluminum bullet, aluminum basket, and neodymium motor. DS18 also specifies demodulating rings and improved heat dissipation.
