2007 Honda Accord Alternator Upgrade — 3.0L V6
The 2004-2007 Honda Accord 3.0L V6 carries roughly 130-150 amps from the factory. The V6 has more headroom than the four-cylinder Accord, but a serious audio system still takes it to the limit. This direct-fit JS Alternators unit replaces the stock alternator with 250-320 amps in the same location, using the same mounting and the factory plug, with full Honda ELD compatibility retained.

V6 Accord charging headroom
Factory load on a loaded Accord V6 runs well over 100 amps before you add anything. Put a 1,000-watt RMS system on top of that and the stock alternator spends most of its life at or beyond rated output, especially at idle where it spins slowest. Fitment:
This is a direct fit high-output alternator for the 2004-2007 Honda Accord 3.0L. Being a direct fit, this alternator fits directly into your stock alternator location.
Plug:
This high-output alternator comes with a factory style plug so that your OEM plug will plug directly into the alternator. Therefore, with an OEM style regulator, it will have a factory voltage set point.
NOTE: If you require charging at a certain voltage setpoint, we offer a selection of different voltage regulators that you will need to purchase with the alternator for it to be installed. Pulley:
This alternator comes with a smaller pulley, which causes it to spin faster than a larger pulley and helps the alternator produce its maximum output. With a smaller pulley it is required to install a belt 1/2 inch to 1 inch shorter than stock. See this blog article for assistance in finding the correct shorter belt.
Big 3 Wiring:
When upgrading to a high-output alternator, it is required to upgrade your wiring with the Big 3 Wiring Upgrade Kit (choose a cable length: 4ft 1/0 positive cable kit / 6ft 1/0 positive cable kit / 10.5ft 1/0 positive cable kit / 20ft 2/0 positive cable kit). It is recommended to use 1/0 100% copper wires for the upgrade.
