Big Sound Podcast Profile: ILL Customz Founder Calvin Olson

As we gear up for our next podcast, we have another preview for one of our guests. The founder of ILL Customz Calvin Olson will join us on Thursday May 25th. ILL Customz creates high quality polished battery terminals, amplifier inputs, lug and ring terminals, distribution blocks, alt blocks, and fuse blocks. As a small business owner Calvin designs all the products and runs every aspect of the company. Pretty impressive considering ILL Customz has become one of the most popular brands of connectors for electrical applications in car audio.

Calvin started working in his father’s shop and began making these machined parts when he saw the outrageous cost other sites were charging. He knew he could make better quality products for a lower cost and that is what he set out to do. During the pandemic Calvin had an opportunity to invest more in his business and was able to grow quickly with the boom in sales.

Now, as the market changes, Calvin has seen a massive shift to lithium batteries over AGM. Customers are also looking for more cost-friendly options. Calvin is looking forward to expanding the company’s dealer and distribution network so he can reach more customers and provide the lower-cost higher-quality products they are looking for.

We expect to have another fun night with our guests and viewers as we talk to car and audio enthusiasts about our shared passion. Maybe you can be one of our lucky viewers that has their comment read live on the stream or have your question answered by one of the industry professionals joining us. Watch the live interview with Calvin on the Big Sound with Big Jeff Podcast this Thursday, May 25th at 7:30pm ET.
