Last night we had another fun episode of the Big Sound Podcast with a massive guest. We announced the 18K giveaway winner and had a great time answering our viewers’ questions in the chat. Big Jeff brought on JR Mares VP of Sales and Marketing for Massive Audio. JR has been a guiding hand for Massive as they have begun revamping their marketing and expanding their product line.
Jeff and JR discussed the industry and how advancements in technology have changed the game. JR broke down how electric vehicles will be a focal point of future car audio builds. Massive is currently working on equipment that can tap into the power generated in the high voltage batteries that run EVs. They will be showing off some of these products at the SEMA show this year and expect to release them shortly after the show. Massive is also working on other new products including new single din and double din head units and working on a new DSP.
We also had a very informative Car Audio 101 Segment where JR answers the benefits of having a Monoblock amplifier vs a two channel amplifier. Jeff also jumped in and answered some of our viewer questions including a great question about running a 3k amplifier on a 250-amp alternator. After that it was giveaway time, as Jeff announced the 18k giveaway winner of a full Timpano system, including subwoofers, amplifiers, speakers, and tweeters.

Great subs but after owning them for 8 months now i already had to recone them once... i have them on a taramps 5k i have a d6500 in the rear and a d5100 under the hood.. and just can't handle the power... i do like them and they def sound real good.. but wish i would have bought 4 instead would recommend if your gonna toss a 3k on em cause they do get down and they're loud!

I BOUGHT A 3RD ONE A COUPLE MONTHS AGO AND HAVE BEEN PUTTING IT THROUGH IT ALSO AND IT DONT MISS A BEAT RUNNING THEM 3 ON A KICKER KXA 2400.1 AT .67 OHMS FIXIN TO GET A 4TH ONE AND PUT THEM ON SAME AMP AT .50 OHM .... I LUV THESE SUBS
These boxes are A+ quality! I don’t see how they sell for this cheap! It would cost me more than I paid to make it myself which I have in the past. Great service and quick shipping.
